Horton Lodge Special School visits the Lake District - donated £1000
Every year in the summer, Horton Lodge Special School in Staffordshire take a group of 8 disabled children to Bendrigg in the Lake District.
Bendrigg is a specialised centre that caters for outdoor activities for children with disabilities and additional needs. For some children, this might be the first time they have stayed away from home.
This is a fantastic opportunity to develop independence and confidence in the pupils and also valuable experience for the parents.
The children get the opportunity to take part in activities such as canoeing, absailing, rock climbing, zip wire, camp fires and so much more.
The children and teachers had an amazing day and are looking forward to attending next year.
