Grants will be made for projects that develop educational opportunities for disadvantaged children and young people in mainstream education where self help or resources from the education system have proved insufficient.
Grants will be made to charities administering projects whose aim is to develop educational opportunities for disadvantaged children and young people in mainstream education.
Grants will normally be provided for a limited period and, where relevant, the trustees will expect to see evidence as to how the service will become sustainable once the grant comes to an end.
The trustees will need to be assured that proper procedures are in place to protect the children concerned.
The trustees may require that arrangements for monitoring and evaluation will be agreed in advance.
The trustees will consider application for co-funding for a project.
The trustees will not consider grants in respect of formal education or for underwriting ongoing salaries, fees or schemes.
The trustees will not consider grants for organisations whose sole purpose is to promote a particular religion or faith.
All applications will be reviewed by the trustees.
